The work to be performed under this Contract generally consists of the rehabilitation of the existing pavement, construction of new raised median islands, improvements to the existing frontage road medians, repairs of existing parkway improvements, and two traffic signal modifications, as shown on the contract plans. The work to be undertaken shall consist of: construction staking and surveying; traffic control; deep cold milling, sawcutting and removal of existing AC pavement and PCC improvements; unclassified excavation; subgrade preparation; cold milling of existing AC pavement; construction of ARHM and HMA pavement; construction of ARAM; construction of various PCC improvements (raised median islands, sidewalk, cross gutters, curb, gutters, driveway, curb ramps, local depressions, and median noses); construction of decorative PCC pavement and pavers; construction of PCC retaining wall with hand railing; installation of curb drains; construction of median French drains; adjustment of various utilities (water and gas valve boxes, storm drain and sewer manholes, traffic signal and water meter boxes); installation of bollards; relocation of street light; installation of traffic signage, striping, and pavement markings; traffic signal modifications; landscaping and irrigation improvements; electrical improvements.
