Renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 29,152-square-foot, two-story above grade pre-engineered storage facility.

Estimated cost: $5,294,477.00 Bid guaranty or bid bond: $106,000.00 Existing building has a footprint of 14,576 S.F. enclosed by precast concrete panel walls, concrete foundation and steel frame/deck roof. A partial second story is concrete deck on steel frame. Construction is type II-B (IBC). Contractor shall be responsible to demolish the existing interior finishes in the building including removal ofsome on the second floor, while protecting elements-to-remain from damage. Contractor shall install additional second floor frame and deck to form two complete 14,576 S.F. floors totaling 29,152 S.F. ofgross building area. Contractor shall remove glazing from existing openings and replace with new glazing or infill, as indicated. Contractor shall install a new TPO roofsystem and coverthe concrete wall panels with and Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS).Contractor shall construct interior finish-out and building services for both floors. Finish-out generally consists pf drywall partitions, suspended acoustical or exposed-structure ceilings and scheduled floor covering. Building services generally consist of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire sprinklers, fire alarm, data and communications and access control. Contractor shall install new water and electric services to the building and supporting utilities as indicated. Bid bond or bid guarantee check must be mailed in or hand delivered and present by 12:00 pm CST on the letting date. All submitted bids will be publicly opened, only successful bids will be read. It is the bidder's responsibility to ensure that the proposal (required documents) arrives at the above location and in the hands of the letting official, by the specified bid date / time deadline regardless of the method chosen by the bidder for delivery. Award or rejection of this project will be made by the Texas Transportation Commission on the Last Thursday of each month. The contract for this work will not be awarded to any contractor, firm or subcontractor currently debarred from bidding on Texas Department of Transportation projects. Usual rights reserved. The right is reserved by the Texas Transportation Commission to reject any and all proposals. Contractor must bid all Bid Items as called for on the plans and in the specifications. All bids received will be retained by the Texas Department of Transportation and will not be returned to bidders. Conditional bids will not be considered.
