Notice is hereby given that VTA is now soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from bidders (Bidders) with construction expertise in a Caltrans-standard steel, Warren-type truss, single span Pedestrian Overcrossing (POC) across a Santa Clara County Expressway (steel truss members will have to be pre-fabricated, delivered, assembled, and erected onsite); a landing structure with stairway and elevator on sidewalk for access to the POC structure; Caltrans type of bridge-reinforced columns and cast-in-drilled hole (CIDH) pile foundations; curved roofs; storm drainage system; external sump pits for elevators; Mid-West Guardrail system; POC internal lighting; PG&E electricity new services; communications networking and closed-circuit television (CCTV); chain link fencing; concrete sidewalk; steel security screen; stainless steel hand railing; landscape and hardscape, crane operation to erect construction; traffic control at Montague expressway and local streets. This Request for Pre-Qualification of Bidders is intended to solicit information in the form of a qualification questionnaire and qualification statements. All Bidders that intend to submit a proposal for the Project must fully complete the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire, provide all materials requested herein, and be approved by VTA in order to be included on the final qualified Bidders list. No bid will be accepted from a Bidder that has failed to comply with these requirements.
