Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Gainesville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

As of February 26, 2024, construction is underway and the project already bid. Questions related to Bidding Documents and Project site shall be directed in writing to A/E, attention Michael Thomas, PE, email: mthomas@moffattnichol.com. No questions will be accepted after Tuesday, October 24th, 2023, at 5:00 P.M. All technical questions related to the proposed work should be submitted in writing and directed to Architect/Engineers Project Manager, Michael Thomas mthomas@moffattnichol.com or 404-205-8531. The proposed work consists of earthwork, erosion sedimentation and pollution control (ESPC), grading and drainage, road paving, water and sanitary sewer utilities, dry utilities, lighting, fence and gates, rail, landscaping, and building structures for a new GPA Inland Port. The project is located at the new Northeast Georgia Inland Port, Gainesville, Georgia. The proposed work consists of earthwork, erosion sedimentation and pollution control (ESPC), grading and drainage, road paving, water and sanitary sewer utilities, dry utilities, lighting, fence and gates, rail, landscaping, and building structures for a new GPA Inland Port. The project is located at the new Northeast Georgia Inland Port, Gainesville, Georgia. Bid must be accompanied by a bid security equal to 10 percent of bid sum. If a construction contract is awarded, successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, each equal in amount to contract sum. Enclose Bid and attachments in a sealed, opaque envelope (hereinafter referred to as "bid envelope"). Address bid envelope to The Georgia Ports Authority, P.O. Box 2406, Savannah, GA 31402. Attention: Mr. Christopher B. Novack, Senior Director of Engineering and Facilities Maintenance. Include the following in lower-left corner of bid envelope: "Bid for Northeast Georgia Inland Port, Contract No. 1707-0914" and Bidder's name, address, and telephone number. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: If the Contractor fails to achieve Substantial Completion of the entire Work within the time stated in Section 1.6.B, the Owner will suffer financial loss. To offset such loss, the Contractor and the Contractor's Surety shall be liable for and shall pay the Owner One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for each day the Work remains incomplete in excess of time allotted for Substantial Completion. Such amount shall be paid to the Owner as liquidated damages, not as penalty, and shall be included in the Agreement between Owner and Contractor.
