The Pueblo of Sandia is seeking funding for planning a new housing subdivision, with design and construction to immediately follow. The Pueblo currently constructs and average of 8 homes per year. The Pueblo has one available subdivision, Mission Hills, which is under construction phase. There is a waitlist for tribal members to become homeowners, and there will be a shortage of lots by Fall, 2020. The new subdivision must begin by 2020, in order to satisfy the shortage. Preliminary site selection is complete. The subdivision is expected to be phased, with approximately 14 future homesites. The Pueblo is will prepared to conduct the environmental review, followed by surveys and geotech and hydrology studies in order to begin the design of the new subdivision, expected to be Winter, 2020. Once funding is received, the Pueblo will issue a NOO for planning and design. The project is included in the county’s 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
