Federal Aid Project No. BRLO-5929(216) The work, is located at the southeastern boundary of San Joaquin County adjacent to Stanislaus County, approximately 1.5 miles north of State Route 120, on Victory Road, between Dutra Lane and Anker Road. The work, in general, consists of replacing the existing 2-span concrete slab bridge on driven piles and the associated work with the roadway, drainage, driveway conforms, RSPs, retaining walls, and striping. Base Estimate Range Between: $1,710,000 to $2,090,000 Bids are required for the entire work described herein. A bid security of 10 percent is required from all bidders. The bid security shall be in the form of cash, certified or cashier's check, electronic bond (eBond), or a bid bond in favor of the Department. Bid Security other than electronic bond must be received by the Department prior to the bid opening dosing time specified above. A payment bond and a performance bond each 100 percent of the value of the contract are required from the successful bidder. Bidders are advised that, as required by Federal law, the County of San Joaquin is implementing new Disadvantaged Business Enterprise requirements for all Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE). Section 2, "Bidding," under subsection 2-1.12B titled "Disadvantaged Business Enterprises" and Section 5, "Control of Work," under subsection 5-1.13B titled "Disadvantaged Business Enterprises" of these special provisions cover the DBE requirements Complete the work within 150 working days This contract is subject to State contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. Inquiries or questions based on alleged patent ambiguity of the plans, specifications or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry prior to bid opening. Any such inquiries or questions, submitted after bid opening, will not be treated as a bid protest. This project is subject to the "Buy America" provisions of the Surface Transportation Assistance Act of 1982 as amended by the Intermodai Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991.
