The purpose of this solicitation is to select a contractor to make renovations to Fire Station No. 21. Renovations include removal and replacement of the existing roof and insulation, installation of a vinyl soffit ceiling and the installation of new LED lighting and duplex electrical receptacles in the bay area. To be considered responsible, a vendor must have successfully completed work similar to that required under this solicitation within the past three (3) years.The vendor must have a current license as a State of Florida Certified General Contractor or Certified Building Contractor issued by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. The vendor must be licensed to do business within Lake County. The vendor must hold the required license for the type of work to be performed at the time their bid response is submitted and for the duration of the project. The performance period under the contract will commence upon the date of the purchase order or related Notice to Proceed and will remain in effect until such time as the commodities, equipment,and services acquired in conjunction with this solicitation and resulting contract have been delivered,completed, and accepted by the County's authorized representative, and will then remain in effect until completion of the expressed and implied warranty periods. Bonding Requirements: Not applicable to this solicitation The County intends for the final contract to include a liquidated damages clause that provides fora $200 liquidated damage charge for each working day required and realized beyond the specified completion date established for any specific work task. Each vendor must include in its solicitation response package proof of insurance capabilities,including but not limited to, the following requirements: [This does not mean that the vendor must have the coverage prior to submittal, but, that the coverage must be in effect prior to a purchase order or contract being executed by the County.]An original certificate of insurance, indicating that the awarded vendor has coverage in accordance with the requirements of this section, must be furnished by the vendor to the Contracting Officer within five (5) working days of such request and must be received and accepted by the County prior to contract execution and before any work begins.The vendor must provide and maintain at all times during the term of any contract, without cost or expense to the County, policies of insurance,with a company or companies authorized to do business in the State of Florida, and which are acceptable to the County, insuring the vendor against any and all claims, demands or causes of action whatsoever, for injuries received or damage to property relating to the performance of duties, services or obligations of the vendor under the term sand provisions of the contract. The vendor is responsible for timely provision of certificates of insurance to the County at the certificate holder address evidencing conformance with the contract requirements at all times throughout the term of the contract.
