Fire substation located at 163 andover street in the ballardvale historic district of andover, ma. New fire Substation contains a three bay apparatus room, training community room, administrative office and firefighter living quarters. A Small off street parking lot will accomodate both staff and visitors. General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Town of Andover. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays after the date set for the opening thereof. The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 44A-J et seq. Andover is an affirmative action/equal opportunity purchaser. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject, in whole or in part, any or all bids or take whatever other action may be deemed necessary to be in the best interest of the Town. The deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for general bidders upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty days of receipt of general bids.Otherwise, the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority.
