A general contractor has been selected for this project. Construction is currently underway. The City of Phoenix on behalf of Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., is seeking a qualified construction contractor to perform the project The scope of work will include construction of Baseline Road between 57th Avenue and the 202 Freeway that is currently under construction. Engineers Estimate: $2 M to $2.5 M The scope of work will include construction of Baseline Road between 57th Avenue and the 202 Freeway that is currently under construction. The length of new roadway construction is 2,040 linear feet extending west from 57th Avenue. New roadway construction will consist of paving, medians, curb & gutter, sidewalk, scuppers, spillways, temporary retention basins, landscaping, streetlights, traffic signal at the intersection of 59th Avenue and Baseline Road, driveways, right-turn deceleration lanes, bus stops, public sewer main extension, public water main extension, domestic and landscape water taps, private fire line taps, private sewer line taps, and dry utility conduit for streetlights, Cox communications and CenturyLink. In addition, Southwest Gas service extensions and mainline extensions will also need to be constructed as part of this project, however the work will be done by Southwest Gas and this portion will only be coordination efforts. All work is shown on the plans, reports, and specifications and should be in accordance with the MAG Uniform Standard Specifications and Details for Public Works Construction and the 2015 City of Phoenix Supplements to MAG.
