Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Expected Contract Value $65,000 to $75,000 This project includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools and equipment to complete the following improvements: Replacement of sidewalk along Old York Rd. including decorative brick banding and border, cast iron lamp posts with banner hangers, additional cast iron posts with banner holders, native plantings, installation of 200 square foot rain garden, enhancement of existing Septa bus stop with bench, bike rack, relocation of existing trash and recycling containers and bus loading pad & relocation of historic stone monument. There are two areas where the improvements will be completed one on either side of Old York Rd. Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw a bid within SIXTY (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Borough of Jenkintown in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid or bids. Only bonds from companies licensed, to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will be accepted and the bond shall so state same. All bidders submitting a bid greater than or equal to $100,000 are required to establish proof of competency and responsibility, in accordance with Jenkintown Borough Ordinance No. 2008-2, "An Ordinance of the Borough of Jenkintown Adopting a Model Responsible Contractor Ordinance". Bid surety checks and bid bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders after the awarding and signing of the Contract. The successful bidder(s) will be required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Bonds in one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract; a Maintenance Bond in the amount of twenty-five percent (25%) of the total contract price, as well as a Certificate of Insurance. Project to comply with the Prevailing Wage requirements that are included in the bid documents. Weekly wage reports are required to be submitted for awarded contract. This project is being financed in part by Montgomery County through the Montco 2040 Implementation Grant Program The Borough reserves the right to waive any informality, or to reject any or all bids, or take such action as it may deem in the best interest of the Borough and as may be permitted by law.
