As of March 14, 2019, a general contractor has been awarded. Construction has not started. They are still awaiting on approval from the board. The successful Bidder is allowed 120 calendar days to complete the Project from the commencement date stated in the Agreement or a Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $1,000 for each consecutive calendar day for which the work is not substantially complete and $1,000 for each consecutive calendar day beginning the 46th day after the date of Substantial Completion for which all of the work listed on the punch list is not complete. The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board has adopted a Fair Share Procurement Policy with a goal of at least twenty (20%) percent participation by MWBEs. The policy and goal apply to this project. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after the date of the bid opening except as provided by law.
