The Estimated construction value of the work is $3,300.000. Renovation to Kitchen/Cafeteria area including but not limited to hazardous material removal, demolition of interior floor, wall and ceiling finishes, demolition of concrete slabs, installation of new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing utilities, installation of new floor, wall and ceiling finishes, installation of new doors/frames, installation of a new interior storefront and installation of new food service equipment. All Bidders are hereby notified that the District has a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) in effect on the Project and all contractors and subcontractors bidding this project will be required to comply with the PLA. All Bidders are hereby notified that this Project is subject to the District's Pre-Qualification Procedure. All General Contractors must submit a prequalification package a minimum of ten (10) business days prior to bid date in order to bid on this project. No bids will be received or opened from Bidders who have not been prequalified through the District's Pre-Qualification Procedure; All Bid Proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished by the District. Bid Proposals must conform with, and be responsive to, the Bid and Contract Documents, copies of which may be obtained from the District as set forth above. Only Bid Proposals submitted to the District prior to the date and time set forth above for the public opening and reading of Bid Proposals shall be considered Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the Bid Proposal, inclusive of any additive Alternate Bid Item(s). Failure of any Bid Proposal to be accompanied by Bid Security in the form and in the amount required shall render such Bid Proposal to be nonresponsive and rejected by the District. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid Proposal or in the bidding. The District has a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise ("DVBE") Participation Goal Program ("the DVBE Program") which establishes a three percent (3%) Participation Goal for DVBEs. All Bidders are required by the District, pursuant to the DVBE Program, to submit DVBE Worksheets that confirm two (2) advertisements were published at least 14 days prior to bid opening.
