Each bid must be accompanied by Bid Security in an amount not less than 10% of the total bid. The estimated project magnitude is between $80,000-$120,000 The successful contractor will be required to furnish separate 100% Performance and Payment Bonds unless the Contract price is less than $100,000. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or any portion of any bid, or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bid and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract. The work generally consists of the construction of a 12-foot wide concrete trail approximately 343 feet (0.065 miles) in length. The trail will run along the north side of Sickler Drive, which transitions to the northeast side of Riverside Dr/N Beach St terminating at the intersection of 2nd St and Riverside Dr. The project includes: excavation, embankment, clearing and grubbing, sodding, sign relocation, drainage improvements and installation of concrete curb, curb ramps, concrete driveway with 6-inch concrete and detectable warning surfaces. All pedestrian facilities shall adhere to current ADA standards.
