The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates the issuance of solicitation 15B40819B00000001for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Replace Underground Storage Tanks (UST) at Garage with Above Ground Storage Tanks (AST) at the United States Penitentiary (USP) Leavenworth. This is a 100 percent Woman-owned Small Business Set-Aside. USP Leavenworth is located at 1300 Metropolitan Ave, Leavenworth, KS 66048. The following brief synopsis should not be considered inclusive of work required to complete the project. The contractor shall install a new fuel storage and dispensing system consisting of: one 2,000-gallon regular gasoline above-ground storage tank (AST) with dispenser, one new 4,000-gallon E85 gasoline AST with dispenser, one new 4,000-gallon vehicle diesel AST with dispenser, and new fuel leak & level monitoring equipment. The performance period for the project will be 189 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
