Renovation of a water / sewer project in Dalton, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The work to be done (hereinafter referred to as "Work") consists of furnishing all materials and equipment, except those specified in the Bid, and performing all labor necessary for the construction of Modifications to the 42-inch and 48-inch raw water lines at the water treatment plant A new flow splitter box to the five flocculation channels, rehabilitation of the existing serpentine flocculation channels including new baffles, rehabilitation of the existing mechanical scraper equipment in the five sedimentation basins, replacement of the existing baffle wall spanning each sedimentation basin, new submerged launders, and concrete repairs to the flocculation and sedimentation basins. New electrical service to the flow splitter box and sedimentation basin equipment, and site lighting for the proposed flow splitter box and the existing flocculation and sedimentation basins. A new Membrane Pump Station with four vertical turbine pumps controlled by VFDs and associated treated water piping improvements. A new Membrane Building including a control room, laboratory, break room, restrooms, training room, two offices, electrical room, and areas for the membrane and CIP equipment. Installation of the membrane filtration equipment, CIP equipment, chemical feed equipment, and other associated equipment supplied by Suez under the equipment allowance. Electrical improvements including a new electrical feed to the Membrane Building, switchgear, motor control centers, variable frequency drives for the membrane system feed pumps, building power and lighting, site lighting, and other associated improvements. Improvements to the existing Lagoons No. 1 and No. 2 including a new duplex suction lift pump station with associated piping. Renovation of the Operations Building interior including: New HVAC equipment and systems New electrical circuits and lighting in the Operations Building and Filter Building. Upgrade to control room, including new IT closet. Removal of the existing lime silos, chemical storage tanks, elevator equipment, and other equipment on the upper level of the Operations Building, with upper level walls and ceiling removed and a new roof constructed on the existing floor slab with parapets walls and skylights. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, equipment and materials to complete this Project. The Contractor shall provide its own generators or make arrangements for temporary power. The Contractor shall be responsible for the cost of permits or licenses required to complete the work. The Contractor shall complete all necessary clean-up and restoration work such that post construction conditions are equal to or better than those conditions that existed prior to any construction activity occurring. The Owner is authorized to issue change orders, without the necessity of additional requests for bids, within the scope of the Project when appropriate or necessary in the performance of the contract. No additional work shall be performed unless authorized by the Owner.
