Site work for a water / sewer project in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project involves the removal and replacement of approximately 1,875 lineal feet (If) of gravity sanitary sewer and associated manholes as shown in the Contract Drawings. The removal of the following pipes and associated manholes are included: 1. Approximately 800 lineal feet of 12-inch cured-in-place (CIPP) lined cement pipe 2. Approximately 400 lineal feet of 15-inch CIPP lined cement pipe 3. Approximately 675 lineal feet of 18-inch CIPP lined cement pipe 4. Approximately 70 lineal feet of 33-inch CIPP lined brick pipe The project is located along Hennepin Avenue in the Theater District of Minneapolis. Two main reaches are included: 1. Reach 1 extends from 12th to 9th Street, and 2. Reach 2 extends from 9th to 7th Street This work will involve pavement removal, protection of existing utilities, utility coordination, pipe and manhole removal, pipe and manhole installation, and restoration. The Contractor will be required to restore the construction areas. The Contractor is responsible for water management (stormwater and groundwater) during construction. Any dewatering pumping will require approval by the City prior to pumping. Permits will be required as stated in other sections of these special provisions.
