Renovation of an educational facility in Eloy, Arizona. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 76,374-square-foot educational facility.
The campus, located at Toltec Elementary School, consists of eight, (8) buildings totaling 76,374 SF. The low slope built-up roof of Building 1008, Gymnasium, was visually assessed at the request of Denise Rogers, Interim Superintendent. The Building was erected in 1987. The building is 18,863 SF and consist of six (6) separate low slope built-up roof areas with parapet walls on most sides. 1. Exterior wall Structure: The exterior walls of the building are painted concrete masonry units. 2. Roof Structure: The roof structure is typically metal B-deck on steel bar joists 3. Drainage: The main roof of the gymnasium is a multidirectional barrel-vaulted roof composed of steel beams and girders, with sheet drainage to the north and south, and to a gutter system to the east and west. Drainage for the roof is a combination of interior roof drains with overflow scuppers, gutters and downspouts. 4. Insulation: Tectum panels are visible in the gymnasium celling. There is batt insulation visible above the lay-in ceiling tiles in the main hallway equivalent to 6" or an R-19 value. 5. Status of Warranty: The roof is not covered under any warranty that the District is aware of.
