The project will be re-evaluated and possibly bid again within six months*** The work of constructing for the Red Bay Fun Park Improvements will be let under Three Separate Contracts, the principal items of work are for each detailed herein below: Contract "B" - Lighting Improvement Project 1. Furnish and Install Lighting Fixtures with Poles 2. Misc. Site Work 3. Misc. Electrical The contractor on each contract is hereby advised that time is of the essence on this project and that the contract time of 90 consecutive calendar days and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed. Liquidated damages will be assessed if the contract time is exceeded. The contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the contract completion date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages. The successful bidder must furnish a Certificate of Liability Performance Bond for one hundred (100%) of the bid amount and a Payment Bond for one hundred (100%) percent of the bid amount and must secure his bond from a bonding company's representative or agent in the State of Alabama. General Contractors that submit Bids must be Licensed in the State of Alabama. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit, with its bid, security in the amount of, form of and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246. No bidder may withdraw its bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Contractor shall note that funds for this project are provided thru the LWCF (Land and Water Conservation Fund). All applicable Federal Guidelines must be met.
