Question Submission Close Date Extended To : 3/8/2019 2:00 PM MDT The State of Utah - Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) is requesting proposals for the construction of the following project: EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR RENOVATIONS - CONSTRUCTION TRADES BUILDING SALT LAKE COMMUNITY COLLEGE - REDWOOD ROAD CAMPUS TAYLORSVILLE, UTAH DFCM PROJECT NO. 19124660 (EXTERIOR RENOVATION) DFCM PROJECT NO. 19125660 (INTERIOR RENOVATION) Construction cost is estimated at $2,054,527.00 for the exterior renovation project and $1,882,000.00 for the interior renovation project. The exterior renovation consists of exterior site improvements and building envelope upgrades to the Construction Trades Building on the Redwood Road Campus of the Salt Lake Community College. Specific scope items include landscaping and site improvements, water proofing, new exterior drainage sump installation, masonry repair work, replacement of all existing entrance systems and window systems with new glazing, window coverings, store front entrance systems and hardware, all glass entrance systems and curtain wall window systems. All existing coiling overhead doors will be removed and replaced along with all existing exterior hollow metal doors. A new entrance vestibule will be constructed on the north side of the building. The existing mechanical duct work within the main corridor will be extended to the new entrance vestibule and new supply diffuser provided. Structural upgrades include repair work to an existing entrance bridge and structural framing for the new entrance vestibule. Exterior electrical upgrades include new light fixtures, light poles and electrical requirements for new exterior door hardware. The interior renovation consists of an interior demolition and remodel of existing spaces within the Construction Trades Building on the Redwood Road Campus of the Salt Lake Community College. The remodel of these spaces will need to be phased so as not to obstruct exit passageways and to allow some of the existing restrooms to remain open to the public during the construction process. The spaces to be remodeled include all interior restrooms, janitor's closets, corridor finishes and upgrades, main corridor finishes including an addition of a student work countertop, and interior finish upgrades to the buildings north stair towers. Electrical upgrades include new light fixtures and electrical outlets, relocation of an existing electrical transformer and panel. Mechanical and plumbing work includes upgrades to existing duct work and diffusers, new toilet room fixtures and plumbing, replacement of existing watercoolers, replacement of an existing ejector pump, and providing a new precast concrete catch basin located within the basement level.
