Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Reno, Nevada. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.

Project No. : 2018-042, 31-18 In accordance with the plans and specifications, the project consists of demolition of approximately 103,000 SY existing asphalt pavement, construction of approximately 71,000 SY of new asphalt pavement, removal and reconfiguration to replace 5,000 SY Portland Cement Concrete pavement, placement of 5,000 SY of rock mulch, removal and installation of 200 Runway Edge Lights, Construction of a new 2,500 SF Airfield Lighting Vault Building, demolition of existing Lighting Vault Building, and miscellaneous striping, electrical, drainage, and other related items for project completion. All bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check payable to the order of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority amounting to not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, or by a bond in said amount and payable to said Owner signed by the bidder and a corporate surety. Said check shall be forfeited or said bond shall become payable to said Owner in case the bidder depositing the same does not, within ten (10) days after written notice that the Contract has been awarded to him: (a) enter into a Contract with the Owner, and (b) furnish certificates of insurance, a bond of faithful performance and a payment bond as described in the Contract Documents. The contractor shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex in the performance of this contract. The contractor shall carry out applicable requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 in the award and administration of DOT-assisted contracts. Failure by the contractor to carry out these requirements is a material breach of this contract, which may result in the termination of this contract or such other remedy as the recipient deems appropriate. The above assurance must be included in each subcontract the prime contractor signs with a subcontractor. This contract will be funded in part by a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration, therefore the requirements of Title 49 CFR Part 26, Participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in Department of Transportation Programs, applies to this contractThe RTAA has not set a DBE participation contract goal for this project; however, the RTAA has set an SBE goal of 14.0% for the project. SBE participating firms must be certified as small businesses by the Nevada Unified Certification Program ("NUCP") prior to bid submission. Please note that all firms certified as DBEs are also SBEs and may be counted towards the SBE goal. Failure to meet the goal or make good faith efforts to meet the goal may render a bidder non-responsive. SBE participants must be listed in the bid as instructed. DBE participation is encouraged to assist the RTAA in meeting its overall DBE program goal. The successful consultant will be required to submit reports providing information on DBE/SBE sub consultants as specified in the contract. 1. The Offeror or Bidder's attention is called to the "Equal Opportunity Clause" and the "Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction Contract Specifications" set forth herein. 2. The goals and timetables for minority and female participation, expressed in percentage terms for the contractor's aggregate workforce in each trade on all construction work in the covered area, are as follows: Timetables Goals for minority participation for each trade: 8.2% Goals for female participation in each trade: 6.9% These goals are applicable to all of the contractor's construction work (whether or not it is Federal or federally-assisted) performed in the covered area. If the contractor performs construction work in a geographical area located outside of the covered area, it shall apply the goals established for such geographical area where the work is actually performed. With regard to this second area, the contractor also is subject to the goals for both its federally involved and non-federally involved construction.
