The City of Meridian, Lauderdale County, Mississippi, will receive bids for the Highway 80 Pedestrian Improvements, Federal Aid Project No. STP-7243-00(002) LPA/107384-701000 The work shall consist essentially of the following items: Construction of a 5 foot sidewalk for approximately 1.4 miles on Old US 80 in the City of Meridian. All other related items of work required to complete the project as shown and specified in the Contract Documents. The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. The attention of bidders is directed to the Contract Provisions governing selection and employment of labor. Minimum wage rates for Federal-Aid projects have been predetermined by the Secretary of Labor and are subject to Public Law 87-581 Work Hours Act of 1962, as set forth in the Contract Provisions.
