Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Greenwood, Indiana. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.

The project bid date will be postponed until March, but a new bid date has not been announced at this time. New construction and renovation of an existing park within the Pleasant Creek floodplain. Site work includes, but is not limited to, demolition of maintenance building, site clearing, retaining adjacent grade, earthwork, and regrading. Machledt Drive will be abandoned and replaced with a trail promenade. Construction of new play-scape adjacent to trail. The park will have a connection to the north to Main St. and will cross the creek to connect with the parking lot adjacent to the public library with a custom metal pedestrian bridge. Flat-work includes, but is not limited to concrete, pavers, asphalt, decomposed granite, poured-in-place rubber surface, and artificial turf. Structures include shade elements, urban swings, and retaining walls. Landscape work includes installation of shade trees, ornamental plantings, native plugs and native seeding adjacent to creek. Installation of new electrical components, utilities, and irrigation system will also be park of this scope. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 10 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.Bidders shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages.Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
