Site work and new construction of a warehouse / distribution facility in Hyden, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the construction of a warehouse / distribution facility; and for site work for a warehouse / distribution facility.
The Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs proposes to construct a new Storage Building at the existing Veterans Cemetery located at 1280 KY Highway 118 in Hyden, Kentucky. The new Storage Building will be located within the existing maintenance area of the Cemetery. Removal of existing concrete pavement will be required to construct the new Storage Building. The new Storage Building will be constructed as a Post Frame Building System (Pole Barn) with exterior metal siding and roof panels and will be constructed on a monolithic slab/foundation system. Three strands of barbed wire will be added to the existing chain link fencing surrounding the maintenance area. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids may be withdrawn in person only, prior to the closing date for receipt of bids. The Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, Commonwealth of Kentucky, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Commonwealth may be served. Award shall be issued on the lowest responsive bid by a responsible bidder. The Bid Document shall contain all qualifying requirements and forms. It is the intent of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to use all available funds.
