The cleaning, repairing, and painting of an existing 1,500,000 gallon hydropillar water tower including structural modifications, surface repairs, interior abrasive blast and coatings, and exterior abrasive blast and coating and containment. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City of Chanhassen and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, or certified check, or bid bond made payable to the City of Chanhassen for five percent (5%) of the amount bid, to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required bond. The OWNER reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three lowest bidders for a period not to exceed 60 days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and further reserves the right to award the Contract to the best interests of the OWNER. It is anticipated that the bids will be considered by the Chanhassen City Council at their meeting on February 25, 2019. The bids must be submitted on the Proposal Forms provided in accordance with the Contract Documents, Plans, and Specifications as prepared by WSB & Associates, Inc., 178 East 9th Street, St. Paul, MN 55101, which are on file with the Engineering Department at the City of Chanhassen and may be seen at this office and the office of the Consulting Engineers. Bids will only be accepted from Contractors who purchase digital or paper Bidding Documents as specified above. Project Completion Date: 10/15/2019
