Site work and paving for a civil project in Southwick, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a road / highway.
***As of March 25, 2019 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The work consists of the replacement of an existing 42 diameter corrugated metal culvert and head walls located on Granville Road. The culvert replacement consists of removing the existing culvert, footings, headwalls, and replacing the culvert with an open bottom, natural channel, plate arch structure with concrete footings, headwalls and wing walls. The work also includes minor channel improvements, roadway repair, temporary traffic signal, and temporary stream diversion/bypass and traffic control. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in the Bid Form. All Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. Prospective bidders must complete a one-time registration process on the web site in order to receive log-in credentials. Bidders must log in to the web site to download bidding documents for the project. Bidders will be added to the planholders or prospective bidders list upon downloading the bidding documents for the project. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Massachusetts Dept. of Transportation (MassDOT) Highway Division. A bid deposit shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
