Site work for a civil project in Red Deer, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project consists of flood mitigation and fish habitat improvements at three locations along Waskasoo Creek in the City of Red Deer. Major work items at each proposed site include: Site 1: Stripping of 60 m3 of topsoil and gravel material; Construction of a 105 m long berm with 90 m3 of clay, overlain with topsoil, and seeded; Installation of 300mm diameter SDR35 drain pipe with headwall and backflow prevention valve through the berm; Planting of 40 shrubs. Site 2: Stripping of 150 m2 of sod; Construction of a 40 m long berm with topsoil; Replacement of 13 m of 600 mm concrete storm pipe with 600 mm PVC SDR35 pipe and installation of a backflow prevention valve; Installation of approximately 150 m2 of sod on disturbed areas. Site 3: Hauling and temporary storage of Class 2 and 3 riprap boulders; Isolation of work areas in creek; Installation of 10 rock weirs consisting of Class 2 riprap boulders; Installation of 9 boulder gardens with 72 Class 2 riprap boulders and 36 Class 3 riprap boulders; Installation of 300 live willow stakes.
