The Buffalo Urban Development Corporation (BUDC) is seeking to retain a Construction Manager to provide professional construction management services for core & shell renovations of approximately 45,000 GSF of industrial building of 541 E. Delavan Avenue, Buffalo, New York. This is a Request for Proposals from qualified Construction Management firms to perform this service. Project is a Construction Manager as Adviser ("CM"), which consists of a preconstruction phase and a construction phase with separate contracts for each phase. The scope of work will be consistent with AIA C132-2009 "Standard Form of Agreement between Owner and Construction Manager as Adviser. Since this is a multiple phase project, and only funding for Phase I has been secured, only a contract for Phase I construction will be issued, but this solicitation and procurement is for all phases of the project. During the preconstruction phase, the CM will collaborate with the A/E Design Consultants led by Watts Architects & Engineers (the "Project Designers") on the design, constructability, cost and schedule of the Project. The CM will be asked to assist with the preparation of and take bids for construction from multiple prime trade contractors and manage the trade contractors during construction.
