The Work comprises the furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required by the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents for the above stated project. The general items of work to be performed hereunder include traffic control; implementation and maintenance of Best Management Practices; installation of hot asphalt-rubber sealant material in designated pavement cracks, installation of asphalt concrete in designated pavement cracks; pavement repairs; construction of slurry seal; construction of traffic striping and pavement markings; and all appurtenant work, on various streets as identified in the construction documents. (a) The City reserves the right after opening bids to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality (non-responsiveness) in a bid, or to make award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, and reject all other bids, as it may best serve the interest of the City. If there are multiple and/or alternative Bid Schedules, Bidders are required to bid on all Bid Schedules. (b)As a condition of award, the successful bidder will be required to submit payment and performance bonds and insurance. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid price payable to the City of Rialto.
