The Darien Board of Education, Darien, Connecticut ('DBOE") invites the submission of sealed bids from reputable and qualified contractors for the furnishing of a ll labor and materials for the following project: DARIEN PUBLIC SCHOOLS CENTRAL OFFICE BUILDING PARTIAL ROOF REPLACEMENT AND REPAIRS By mail or email if requested by telephone at 203-656-7418 or 203-656-7417. At the time of request of the Bid Documents, a valid email address for the Bidder must be provided. Bids must be delivered in accordance with all of the requirements of the Bid Documents no later than the Bid Submission Deadline listed above. No emailed or faxed Bids will be accepted. Please refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for other important dates and submission requirements. Bid Security: Each bid submission must include bid security in the form of either a Bid Bond or a certified check payable to the "Darien Board of Education" in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the proposed base bid. Bids may not be withdrawn or modified for 90 days after the bids are opened. The DBOE reserves the right to amend or withdraw this Invitation to Bid for any reason, to accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, and to waive any informalities, non-material deficiencies or procedural irregularities in any Bid submission as determined by the OBOE, in its discretion, to be in the best interest of the DBOE and the Town of Darien. No bid will be accepted or opened that is not submitted in compliance with the requirements of the Bid Documents.
