The meeting is not mandatory but attendance is strongly advised. One (1) supplementary (non-mandatory) visit to the Project site with the architect and owner will be scheduled and posted. The City of Charlotte reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or technicalities as it may deem to be in its best interest. For the purpose of establishing the time of bid opening, the clock at the location shall be the official clock. The project consists of the enhancement of the existing HVAC system for the dog kennels at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care and Control Facility. Two (2) new boilers (and appurtenances) will be located in the existing interior boiler room. These new boilers will connect to the heating coils in the new AHUs. New standalone dehumidification units will be installed to control the humidity inside the kennels to a maximum of 50% relative humidity. The existing rooftop exhaust fans will be replaced in kind and new rooftop air intakes will be installed to connect to the new AHUs. A new 480V/3 electrical service entrance will be installed to power all of the new equipment as part of this project. A new DDC control system will be installed to control all new equipment, as well as maintain the building at a positive pressure with respect to the outside.
