The renovations to the existing Jackson Park will create a lively and engaging community park site and facility for users of all ages. Phase 1 includes a new parking lot and drop-off area with lighting, stormwater management features, and a walking trail with fitness equipment and planting. Bidders or their authorized representatives are invited to be present. No bids will be received after 2:00 PM on the same day and date. Bids, amendments to bids, or requests for withdrawal of bids, received after the time specified for bid opening shall not be considered for any cause whatsoever, except as required by law. Bids shall be firm for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date of the opening of bids and no bid shall be withdrawn for any reason during this period of time except as allowed per LSAR.S.38:2214.C. Paper bid forms must be submitted in a sealed, opaque envelope and endorsed Jackson Park Site Improvements: Phase I for the Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge along with Contractor's license number as required by LSA-R.S. 37:2151-2165. Bids with no license number will be rejected. One (1) copy of the bid form shall be submitted. Bid form blanks must be duly filled in by the Bidder. Bidders are cautioned not to attach any conditions or provisions to their proposals. Any foreign conditions will render the proposal invalid and may cause its rejection. A Certified Check or Cashier's Check, payable to the Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge or a satisfactory Bid Bond, in compliance with LSA-R.S. 38:2218.A&C, executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid, shall be submitted with each paper bid.
