The general nature and scope of this project is as follows: The work includes all labor, materials, accessories, equipment and tools necessary to clean, televise and line storm water culvert pipes in an area referred to as Zone 4, in Bay Harbor Islands. A map is included in the contract documents that illustrate the location and boundaries of Zone 4. The objective is to restore the structural integrity of the culvert crossings and prevent undermining of the roadways. There may be a need to seal culvert joints in the crossings prior to installing the liner, and allowances are made in the contract accordingly. The pipe sizes range from 12" to 24" diameter. The Repair methodology and materials shall be in accordance with ASTM F1216-93 and ASTM F1743, or other relevant and newer standard All storm water discharge directly into the surrounding Intra Coastal waters and extreme care must be taken to avoid pollution. All inspections shall be recorded on DVD and submitted to the Town with no more than ten (10) inspections per DVD. Upon installation of the liner the contractor shall again inspect and record the completed work. The post video shall immediately follow the installation of the liner Work shall include, traffic control and all other related work required for a successful Project.
