Site work for a water / sewer project in Montgomery, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project generally consists of the following major components: The installation of approximately 11,000 LF of 4" and 6" C900 water mains and 200 LF of 2" CL 200 PVC water main along with all appurtenances necessary to provide a complete service to accommodate the residential water and fire demand along the specified roadways. The service laterals to each residence along the proposed water main installation shall be replaced to a point approximately five (5) feet away from the house and the meter shall be reset. The existing water main shall be abandoned in place after all new service is connected. Open cutting of the street shall be required for the water main installation and mole bores shall be utilized for the water laterals. The street shall be patched per specifications. The contractor shall install and maintain effective traffic control throughout the duration of the project. A detailed list of items included in the project is located in the Proposal. Unaltered and clean plans may be returned to Water Works for a refund if the contractor is on the official plan holders list. All bidders must be properly licensed in accordance with Ala. Code 34-8-1, et seq and meet the bidding requirements set forth in this proposal.
