The Rossmoor /Los Alamitos Area Sewer District (RLAASD) invites qualified Bidders to provide Bids for the 2018 Sewer Repair Project. A Bid Security of not less than ten (10%) percent of the Total Amount of Bid will be required with each Bid and no Bid will be considered without it. The Bid security may be in the form of a cashier's or certified check payable to Rossmoor/Los Alamitos Area Sewer District, or a Surety Bond issued by a qualified corporate Surety licensed to do business in California and must be submitted using the form included in the IFB documents. Each Bid Security will be held until an award is made. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond are required concurrently with the execution of the Contract and shall remain in effect through the warranty period at 100% of the Contract value. The Payment Bond is to be executed in the name of the Surety insurer under penalty of perjury duly acknowledged before an officer authorized to take and certify acknowledgements and either one of the conditions listed in the Instructions to Bidders must be satisfied. All communications concerning this IFB must be in writing. Written questions regarding details of this IFB will be accepted (e.g., must be received) by the District until 5:00 P.M. (Pacific Time Zone), February 28, 2019.
