Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Story City, Iowa. Completed plans call for the remodel of a theater / auditorium.

Bids shall be open to acceptance and irrevocable for thirty (30) days from the Bid closing date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract as deemed in the best interests of the Roland-Story Community School District. The Project shall be known as the 2019 High School Auditorium Remodeling, Roland-Story Community School District, Story City, Iowa. One lump sum bid shall be submitted for the work. Work includes but is not limited to: Interior finish upgrade of an existing auditorium at the Roland Story CSD High School. Project to include new stage curtains, seating, carpet, finishes, lighting and audio visual. The Bid Proposal shall be made on the Bid Form included within the Project Manual. Oral, facsimile, telegraphic or telephonic bids or modifications will not be considered. Bid Security shall be payable to Roland-Story Community School District. Sales or use tax shall not be included in the bid. Pursuant to Iowa Code Sections 423, at the time a Construction Contract is issued, the Owner will also issue an Exemption Authorization Letter and a Designated Exemption Entity, Iowa Construction Sales Tax Exemption Certificate for the purchase or use of building materials, supplies and equipment that will be used in the performance of the Work. Other requirements with respect to this provision are set forth in the Project Manual. By virtue of statutory authority, a preference will be given to products and provisions grown, and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and preference will also be given to Iowa domestic labor in the construction of said improvements. The Contractor shall also furnish a copy of their Certificate(s) of Insurance showing coverage is being provided consistent with that stated within the Project Manual. The Project shall be paid for in cash or in warrants drawn on such funds as may be legally used for such purposes and available to the Owner.
