Renovation of a transportation facility in Lincoln, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
This project consists of the removal of the existing fuel tank and dispensing system and installing, in a new location, a new tank, dispenser and credit card reader system along with the associated concrete pad, bollards, electrical work, grounding, duct work and cabling, as described in the Contract Documents. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: General Contract (all trades). Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Withdrawal Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Contract time will be sixty (60) calendar days. All new fuel dispensing equipment and associated materials shall be on site before any removal work will be permitted to proceed. Liquidated damages will be in the amount of $100 per day for every day that the project is not complete past the date agreed upon in project schedule. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. Prequalification with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board (CDB), with support from a vendor with more than 5-years of experience successfully producing comparable equipment, is sufficient prequalification. If not prequalified, prequalification will be required in accordance with 002113 - Instructions to Bidders. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
