**As of April 26, 2019, the project has already started and should be completed by the end of May.** Replacement of Pedestrian Bridge Over Harrison Brook at Lafayette Lane .Each bid package has been filed in the office of the Purchasing Agent at the above address and may be inspected by prospective bidders during business hours, Monday through Friday. The work to be performed under this Contract for Replacement of Pedestrian Bridge over Harrison Brook at Lafayette Lane is as follows: - Removal, salvage, and delivery (to the Township DPW) of existing fencing, barricades and other devices used to close the bridge to pedestrian access; as directed by the Engineer. - Complete removal of the existing timber approach pedestrian ramp and the existing prefabricated weathering steel truss pedestrian bridge superstructures. - Complete removal of existing concrete foundations at the timber approach ramp, removal of existing concrete abutments/footings supporting the existing steel truss, and removal of a portion of an existing 30" Diameter reinforced concrete pipe. Additional concrete remains of pre-existing structures may require removal for foundation construction. - Construction of a 30" Diameter reinforced concrete pipe and collar. - Construction of cast-in-place reinforced concrete abutments and pier, construction of prefabricated aluminum pedestrian ramp structure, construction of prefabricated aluminum pedestrian truss/bridge structure, and installation of bridge deck joint. - Construction of asphalt sidewalk approaches, bollards and other incidental items ofwork. - Construct ornamental fence. - Rehabilitate approach pathways (if required by the Engineer)
