Site work and paving for a civil project in Superior, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The Division of Facilities Development, hereinafter termed DFD, hereby announces that it is advertising for bids from certified contractors for the above project. In general the work consists of: Removal of asphalt, curb and gutter, and sections of adjacent, cracked sidewalks. Repair heaved storm sewer pipe. Replace base as needed and grade base. Pour new curb and gutter and sidewalks. Install two lifts of asphalt. Stripe lot Lots 3, 3A & 10. Heaved storm sewer repairs consist of: Excavate heaved storm sewers to include inlet grate and adjacent curb and gutter. Replace and regrade subsurface material back to correct grade. Backfill with new, engineered material. Pour replacement curb and gutter to correct elevation and install inlet grate. Install new asphalt to match existing, surrounding grade. Stripe as needed. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsins prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements.
