Renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Lexa, Arkansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel.
The school campus is located near the southeast comer of the intersection of Highway 49 and Highway 85 in the city of Barton, Arkansas, as shown on the Vicinity Map, Plate 1. The proposed project will consist of additions to the field house and elementary school classrooms, a new high school building, a band canopy, new dugouts for new ball fields, and new parking and drive areas. The buildings will generally have light loads with maximum column loads of 75 kips and uniform loads not exceeding 3 kips per foot. The areas of construction are covered with existing buildings and pavements, utilities, fences, playgrounds, appurtenances, and grass and trees. While the site was access by a tmck mounted drill rig, some access and mobility difficulties should be anticipated after demolition and clearing and grubbing, especially during wet or winter weather.
