Renovation of an educational facility in Norfolk, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids are invited from construction contractors to perform interior refinishing and construction with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work. The anticipated construction period is on or about April 15, 2019, with Substantial Completion on August 16, 2019 and Final Completion on September 16, 2019. A Bid Bond is required.A Standard Performance Bond and Standard Labor and Material Payment Bond will be required of successful low bidder. The successful bidder shall be licensed in Virginia as a Class A Contractor and shall hold at the time of bid submission, the Commercial Building Contractor (CBC) or Commercial Improvement Contracting (CIC) license classification, and shall contract with subcontractors for the specialty classifications not held. Because the Owner's project is not a dwelling or a townhouse, the Residential building contractor RBC license classification does not meet the requirements of this project, and therefore will not be considered. It is the bidder's responsibility to attain the proper licensing prior to submission of a bid. All Bidder questions are due no later than March 14, 2019 at 2:00 P.M.
