Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Abingdon, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Separate sealed Bids for the construction of the Watauga Road Facilities project for the Town of Abingdon, Virginia which consists of the construction of Virginia Creeper Trail Enhancements consisting of access road, parking area, prefabricated toilet facility, and associated items, Bids must be accompanied by Bid security as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder must be licensed as a Class A contractor in the State of Virginia prior to the execution of the Agreement. Each Bidder must be a Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Pre-Qualified Contractor. Bidders shall comply with Executive Order 11246, entitled, "Equal Employment Opportunity," as amended by Executive Order 11375 and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60). Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms are encouraged to submit Bids. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids if it appears in its best interest to do so.
