Weed/Vegetation Control for Virginia Highlands Airport The successful bidder must comply with requirements set out in the Scope of Work including all Federal and State Contract Provisions relative to the project. The successful bidder shall be capable of commencing work with adequate force and equipment on a date to be specified in a written order of Virginia Highlands Airport Authority and shall complete work within the time prescribed in the Scope of Work. Bids shall be placed in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Virginia Highlands Airport Authority, 18521 Lee Highway, P.O. Box 631, Abingdon, Virginia 24212, and labeled in the lower left-hand corner: Weed/Vegetation Control Management Virginia Highlands Airport Authority, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. Virginia Highlands Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to re-advertise.
