Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a manufacturing facility in Elkins, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the addition of a 25,000-square-foot manufacturing facility; for the demolition of a manufacturing facility; for the renovation of a manufacturing facility; and for site work for a manufacturing facility.
The Randolph County Development Authority, Elkins, West Virginia will receive sealed bids for the construction of the following: Greenfield Cabinetry Plant Expansion The Randolph County Development Authority plans to expand an existing building, known as the Greenfield Cabinetry Facility, to provide additional manufacturer facility space. The project contains multiple components including metal building, building interior, site civil, HVAC, plumbing and electrical work. Exterior work will be focused on the construction of a metal building expanding the existing facility. The scope of work includes a 25,000 square foot addition to the existing Greenfield Cabinetry Building. Construction consists of a pre-engineered metal building over a concrete slab, with concrete foundation walls, concrete footings and drilled concrete shafts. Metal roof is a single-slope shed roof. A portion of the existing exterior wall and loading dock doors and equipment are to be demolished where addition attaches to existing building. Two man-doors and two loading dock doors shall be installed in addition, and pits to be provided for dock levelers (all dock equipment by owner). Plumbing to be roughed-in for future restrooms and maintenance shop (to be constructed by owner). Heating will consist of radiant tube heat. General lighting and electrical is included in the expansion. Site work includes the installation of storm drains and drop inlets, gravel parking area, asphalt and concrete driveway areas, and other items and appurtenances as outlined in the Plans and Specifications. A five percent (5%) Bid Bond or certified cashier's check must accompany all Bids. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Payment Bond and Performance Bond, each for 100% of the contract amount. This project will be partially funded with Federal Funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration Project #01-79-14728 and therefore is subject to the Federal Laws and regulations associated with that program. Bidders must comply with the requirements for Affirmative Action and Minority Business Enterprises participation as described in the Federal Specifications insert to the Contract Documents. Bidders much comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Copeland Anti-Kickback Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Act, and the West Virginia Division of Labor Wages for Construction of Public Improvements pursuant to West Virginia Code 21-5A-3. No Bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the time of the opening of the Bids. Any Contractor submitting a Bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that he has a license and meets all the qualifications required by the statutes of the State and subdivision in which the work is to be performed. The Contractor shall comply with the West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act and shall require all subcontractors to comply with that Act. A Contractors License Number is to be included on the bid submission. The requirements stated in the advertisement for bids and the bid form may not be waived by any public entity.
