Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in North York, Ontario. Design plans call for the construction of a 3,596-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; for site work for a 17-space sidewalk / parking lot; 2,775-square-foot, one-story above grade parking garage; and 4,363-square-foot, one-story above grade office development.
The purpose of this project is to provide a new park maintenance yard for the Edwards Gardens and Toronto Botanical Garden. The scope of work includes a new one storey building with a greenhouse facility, office area and vehicle garage. There will be a new asphalt driveway and bus loop into the site along with new staff parking and a loading space for the greenhouse. A new bioswale will be provided at the east portion of the site and a new berm to the south of the site; both features will be provided with new shrubs and plantings. New ornamental fencing will secure the facility and there will be new vehicle gates at the entrance of the site and into the courtyard. The new facility will provide a new office space, greenhouse, and vehicle garage for 25 staff at Edwards Gardens. TIMELINE: Working drawings are underway. Site plan submission has been made to the city of Toronto as of May 2023 and is under review. Tender and construction timing will be finalized early 2024.
