Renovation of a medical facility in Calgary, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Scope of work includes renovations to emergency, mental health and laboratory departments. The project will consist of multiple components with multiple decants and re-occupancies. Construction will be phased. Work includes expansion of the emergency department by approx. 13,000 sq ft; relocation of the Mental Health Short Stay department to a shelled space on the main floor of the East Tower (approx. 14,000 sq ft space); renovations to the existing space occupied by the Mental Health Short Stay to accommodate a Mental Health Intensive Care Unit (13,700 sq ft); and relocation of the laboratory into an existing shell space. TIMELINE: Construction is underway. NOTE: The project will also include replacing existing hoppers with macerators at 14 various locations within the main and West buildings as part of the Medical Device Reprocessing Department Renovation. The scope of work for this RFP has been subdivided into two projects. The Construction Manager (CM) must track and report them separately as follows: Project 1: ED, MHSSU, PsychICU and MSWHB under Project ID B0071A-0020 with an approved construction budget of $80 million. Project 2: MDRD under Project ID B0071A-0021 with an approved construction budget of $15 million. *Absolutely no inquiries will be accepted at this time.
