**As of October 28, 2019, project was awarded to Rychart Excavating Inc for $171,636.45. The City of Hillsboro seeks sealed bids from qualified firms able to provide construction services for Frances Street Park. Frances Street Park is a 9 acre park that opened to the public in 2002. The sites amenities include a playground, basketball court, paved trails, natural area, a small parking lot and picnic tables distributed throughout the park. There are also two unfinished areas. The proposed improvements primarily consist of finishing the development of those two unfinished areas by installing a picnic shelter (includes adding a concrete pad and shelter) and a sand volleyball court (includes fixing the drainage system, installing the posts and net and adding sand). In addition, a variety of ADA improvements will be included: providing an accessible route to the basketball court, replace the existing drinking fountain by the future picnic shelter area with an ADA year round drinking fountain, install four picnic tables at the shelter; two regular ones and two ADA, install one ADA picnic table at the playground area on a concrete pad and add companion spaces to benches concrete pads (30x48) . The selected contractor will not be installing the detectable warning tracks at the right-of-way as shown on the drawings, only the one at the parking lot.
