**As of May 31, 2019 Project has been awarded. Award amount is $345,323.91.** Work to be performed under this contract shall include all labor, tools, equipment and materials necessary to construct the Grand Central Road Bridge Replacement including removal and disposal of the existing concrete arch bridge, selective tree removal, stream diversion with turbidity barriers and cofferdams, excavations of all materials, rock excavation, and installation of a new 24' wide x 5' high precast concrete arch bridge system with precast wingwalls as well as restoration of the roadway, surface stabilization and erosion and sedimentation controls required for the work. All quantities listed are approximate. All materials shall be PennDOT approved or pre-approved equal. All work must be completed by October 31, 2019. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $250.00 per calendar day. Each bidder is required to bid on the total project. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check made payable to 'Plainfield Township' in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The successful bidder shall provide a performance bond or certified check to the municipality in the amount of 100% of the contract and a payment bond or certified check to the municipality in the amount of 100% of the contract within 7 days after the contract is awarded. All Bidders must complete and submit with their bid the 'Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Form as per Department of General Services Act 127 of 2012'. This project was financed in part by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority and is funded partially by a Community Investment Partnership Program/Local Share Assessment grant provided by the Northampton County Department of Community and Economic Development. As such, all Contractors and Subcontractors are required to pay PA Prevailing Wages, comply with the equal opportunity and other regulations as specified within the bid documents as well as submit all forms and certifications requested by and cooperate fully with all representatives of the funding agencies, the Engineer and the Owner. The municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any irregularities, to negotiate contract amounts, to accept or reject any bid which, in its judgment, is in the best interest of the Township and to delete any items, alternates, or portions of items, if necessary.
