Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) is seeking a vendor for the provision of construction services for 17 Vacant Units Rehabilitation at 50 Torbolton Drive. TCHC will be awarding the project work to the lowest total priced Proposal. This building has been vacant for over fifteen years. In 2021 the interior of the building was largely demolished and prepared for reconstruction. After this time, the design team reviewed the remaining conditions and updated their design accordingly. This work is categorized as holistic, Passive House renovation and reconstruction of retaining wall. The design meets Passive House Canada design practices and the construction of 50 Torbolton Drive must be certified by Passive House Canada. There is a photovoltaic array on the roof that will also classify this building as Net Zero compliant.
