Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

Contract Time: 90 days The Notice to proceed on this project will be issued not later than Thirty Days after execution of the contract. The contractor selected shall be responsible for the preparation of a demolition plan which shall include but not limited to a drainage plan, wall shoring plan, notification and protection of adjacent property owners, and protection of Washington Street and Speed Street and any public utilities located in the Right-of-Way. Bids must be accompanied by cash, cashier check, certified check or bidders bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of thirty (30) days. Nonresident Contractors must provide a copy of their state law regarding nonresident contractors. For any questions relating to the electronic bidding process, please call 225-810-4814. A secure electronic interactive system for the submittal of bids is an additional bidding option for those bidders who choose to submit their bids electronically. Those bidders who choose to submit their bids electronically will do so as directed by the Owner and as specified in the Advertisement for Bids. When construction bids are submitted electronically, the requirement for including a certificate of responsibility, or a statement that the bid enclosed does not exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($ 50,000.00), on the exterior of the bid envelope as indicated in Section 31- 3-21(1) and (2) of Mississippi State law shall be deemed in compliance with by including same as an attachment with the electronic bid submittal. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities. The City reserves the right to reject from a Bidder who has not paid, or satisfactorily settled, all bills due all persons furnishing labor, equipment, and supplies on former contracts with the City; or for being in arrears on existing contracts; or being in litigation with the City; or having defaulted on a previous contract A. Contractor is required to hold a Certificate of Responsibility from the Mississippi Board of Contractors if the project is over $50,000.00. Contractor is responsible for the complete demolition of the structure, including the foundation system. Contractor is responsible to have the utilities disconnected (water, gas, electrical, cable, sanitary sewer, etc).
