Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.
The contract time for the work included in this contract is Two Hundred (200) Working Days. The Contract will be subject to liquidated damages in accordance with the latest edition of the Mississippi Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction. Each bidder must deposit with his proposal a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid payable to The City of Vicksburg as bid security. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount awarded. Bidders shall also submit a current financial statement if requested by The City of Vicksburg. Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid and such proposal will not be considered in making the award.
